Project Description: EPIP provided a construction loan for work on the Brethren’s Workshop (ca. 1829) at the Shaker Museum | Library in Columbia County. This loan allowed the continuation of a hands-on training program for preservation crafts at the site completed by interns from Boston’s North Bennet Street School. Funded work included plaster restoration and replacement, installation of an underground drainage system, framing restoration, historic masonry repair and other items. The work was completed with the help of four interns during a summer program.
