Project Description: Historic Cherry Hill is one of Albany’s richest historic resources. The home was built in 1787 and was occupied for 176 years by 5 generations of the Van Rensselaer family until it was opened as a museum. This EPIP loan is supporting the multi-phase restoration of the building to include structural stabilization, restoration of 59 wood windows, modest roof repairs and drainage improvements and the installation of a 2-zone HVAC system (a human zone and a collections/exhibit zone).
