Hello From the New Director of Communications
Hello, I am Katy Peace, your friendly new Director of Communications. If you have media inquiries, a pitch for this blog or our newsletter, or general questions about who we are or what we do, I’m your person. I started at the League at the end of February and I am very happy to be here. A little about me:
I am a native New Yorker, but I recently relocated back to the Empire State after almost a decade away. Most recently, I spent several years in St. Louis, MO, where I led projects as varied as an artist residency, digital initiatives, media outreach, and innovative events at Forest Park Forever, St. Louis’s most expansive (and historic!) urban park.
I am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's Master of Arts Management program and have a degree in Art History from SUNY New Paltz. I have spent my career working in support of nonprofits, cultural institutions, and artists to better tell their stories and reach their audiences. I am very excited to help the Preservation League continue to engage communities all over the state and communicate the importance of historic preservation for New York's future.
If you want to connect, you can find me on LinkedIn, through the League’s social media channels (Instagram is my personal favorite) or shoot me an email.
